This small list is by no means exhaustive. There are many steps that can be taken to enhance the security of a WordPress blog. Not all the possibilities can be covered in such a brief article. Rather this guide is intended to allow most anyone using a self hosted WordPress blog to take certain relatively easy steps that will enhance the security of their popular blogging platform. It should also be noted that there are many other steps that can be taken that would require technical knowledge on the part of the reader which is beyond the scope of this article.
WordPress is perhaps the most popular self hosted blogging platform on the internet today. It is increasing being used as a CMS (Content Management System) for small business websites. This trend is set to increase with the imminent release of WordPress 3.0 (which notably is slated to incorporate a long awaited new menu system allowing the user to add new hierarchal menus to their blog/website at will).
