Apple iPhone 2.0

The Apple iPhone 2.0 is widely expected to be launched on June 9th at the Apple 2008 World Wide Developers Conference.

Supporting the faster 3G Network will allow faster web experience than the current 2.5G (Edge) Network. 

Speculation has also been rife that the new iPhone will feature a GPS. It is also expected to be thinner with two models, a 16GB and a 32GB model with both featuring longer battery life than the original models.

It is also rumored that the cost of the phone could be subsidized bring the cost down as low as $200!

iPhone 3G Unveiled

At the Apple’s sold out (around 5200 seats) WWDC (World Wide Developer Conference) in San Francisco today, Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone 3G mobile phone. 

The iPhone 3G as the name suggests, features the expected 3G technology, GPS (Global Positioning System), combined with Google Maps and Enterprise Features such as Microsoft Exchange support.

Apple showcased a few of the hundreds of software programs being actively developed for the iPhone that will be available for download directly to your iPhone from the new App Store. 

The new iPhone will be available in 22 countries from July 11th and is expected to be available in over 60 countries in the coming months. The phone will cost $199 for the 8GB model and $299 for the 16GB model.

In the UK, the iPhone is available through Apple, Car Phone Warehouse and 02, the exclusive UK mobile phone network. O2 have announced that the iPhone will be available FREE on their £45 and £75 tariffs, and on their £35 tariff and new £30 tariff it will cost £99 for the 8GB model and £159 for the 16GB model.   

New MacBook and MacBook Pro

Rumors are also abound that new MacBooks and MacBook Pros featuring new designs are due in the coming months. The new designs are said to borrow elements of the sleek MacBook Air.
